Paris

The cradle of Western civilisation, the summit of cultural conversations, the pompous residence of art and beauty: home of the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Palais de Tokyo, chic art nouveau cafes, dreamy balconies with all their majestic romance. I went to Paris to step outside of my own life and live someone else’s for a couple of days, not to forget but to remember everything that’s great in life.

In the summer of 2022, I felt like I was the only person in Paris who wasn’t in love. Look at her wondering the eternal galleries of the Louvre, studying the struggles and joys of great European artists. Longing to understand and feel what they felt when they were painting their muse on a blank canvas, when they were fantasising about great love, sex and passion. It felt like something I used to know, but can barely recollect now. Can someone live without love for too long? And if so, what does that do to her soul?

Paris froze the greatest moments of humanity and put them on display to serve as a reminder: mind and soul need nourishing. We experience life through flavours, colours, nature, kissing, extraordinary emotions - Paris speaks fluent passion when it comes to all senses of human life.

Go to Paris and let it inhale you.

On the exhale? Everything will make more sense.

Stating the obvious, but all the pics are my own, taken with an iPhone 12, edited with PS Lightroom.
