Passage Pantry

It was by pure coincidence that I wondered into this store for the first time, but I was immediately enchanted by what was on offer: fresh, crispy baguettes, bread and focaccia, artisan cheese, truffle, chutney, hand-crafted dark chocolate.

I’m going through a phase again when I just can’t stand plastic. And since I now know how to cook and can actually use fresh produce the best possible way, I do love my grocery shopping less mainstream, more one-of-a-kind. And a lot less plastic-y.

Passage Pantry was founded buy a family of passionate foodies who have lived in Islington for many years. In 2021 they realised a long-held dream of opening a shop that offered exceptional produce to the local community. With a focus on sustainability, quality and personal service, they officially opened the doors at the corner of Camden Passage in Angel, Islington. Whenever I shop there, I feel like I’m part of the family.

This store is a true reflection of passion for community, cooking and the environment. Passage Pantry aims to supply their customers with the highest quality artisanal food and drink sourced mainly from local producers. From biodynamic wines to pantry essentials and sustainably sourced meats, if you’re looking to shop as environmentally friendly as possible and support local businesses, The Passage Pantry is your number one stop.
